Day 293

Indian Land, South Carolina Photographer Posts Shelter Dog Portrait Photos for 365 Consecutive Days to Raise Awareness of Homeless Animals in the United States

The goal of the 365 campaign is to raise awareness about the number of animals in the shelters. Each day for one year I am posting a new and unique photo of a dog taken in an animal shelter. Many of these dogs were adopted from the shelter or sent to a rescue organization. Some were euthanized at the shelter.

Donate. Foster. Adopt.

Changing To Instagram For Now

Yesterday of my 400 liked followers, only 6 actually saw the 365 Shelter Dogs daily post. 400 is not a lot but it’s more than 6. I don’t know what their algorithm is doing but I’ve about had it with Facebook right now anyway between the falsehoods, political nonsense, general bitchiness and sheer stupidity proliferating across its network. (Is bitchiness a curse word? The term as I use it is gender neutral. Things that make you go hmm…)

So I’ve decided for the time being to post on Instagram instead. Yes, I am aware that Facebook bought Instagram. Granted I don’t participate much there and have no followers, ok, maybe an actual 6, but it seems a happier place to be. So that’s what I’m doing for now.

I just looked. There are 63 followers and I follow 55. Hit me up I’ll follow you back. @alisonkirkconnell

Or you could come straight to the source, 365shelterdogs.com for your shelter dog photo daily dose.

As always please donate, foster and/ or adopt. I do all 3 but it only takes a small action or donation to make a world of difference for these dogs.
